MEET THE HOST
WELCOME, I’m Aneta,
I’m your host and the Founder of The Golden Mandala Somatic Coach Academy©, a Trauma-informed Somatic Coach, Trainer and Educator, Senior Yoga and Somatics Trainer, and Embodied Business Mandala™ Mentor and Coach.
I created this podcast for heart-centred practitioners who work or want to work with clients in a more trauma-informed and somatic way.
In this podcast we explore how we can connect with and support others from a more compassionate and embodied space, with focus on the wholeness of our and our client’s felt experience and including our soma, psyche and soul.
We will share somatic practices and tools. You will hear from me and other practitioners who are on a mission to create safer spaces and make a real positive impact within their communities and the world.

E118: A Feminine Approach to Year-End Business Planning: Review, Reconnect & Refocus (3-Step Somatic Process)
In today’s episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I invite you into a quieter, slower, more honest conversation about the end of the year - a conversation that honours the body, nature, and the deeper wisdom that lives beneath our conditioning.
December brings us into the darkest point of the year. And yet, in our Western culture, we push harder, speed up, plan more, and override the signals that our bodies have been attuned to for thousands of years.
E117: Stop Trying Harder and Doing More: The Somatic Shift Every Practitioner Needs
In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I talk about a pattern so many heart-led, deeply caring practitioners experience - pushing harder in every area of life until they reach exhaustion. As we move toward the Christmas period and the end of the year, I reflect on the collective fatigue, the pressure to catch up before the holiday break, and the inner conflict that arises when we’re teaching nervous-system care to our clients while struggling to honour it ourselves.
E116: Three Types of Habits for Success: Wellness, Life and Business
In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I talk about how daily habits shape every aspect of our health, relationships, and work. Drawing on my unique framework the Integrated Soma–Psyche–Soul Coaching Method®, I share my perspective on what truly supports sustainable success and wellbeing.
E115: Embody Confidence: How to Trust Yourself and Your Nervous System in Business and Life
Welcome to this week's episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul show, where I share a personal reflection on what it truly means to honour our own rhythm, to slow down when our system says enough, and to build confidence and momentum from a grounded, embodied place. I share with you how I’ve learned to recognise the early signs of depletion - with loss of creativity, effortful thinking, and disconnection from a sense of sacredness in my work. I explore what embodied confidence really means, why practice is everything, and how understanding our nervous system can completely change the way we grow, heal, and lead our lives and businesses.
E114: How to Keep Going When Growth Feels Hard: A Trauma-Informed Somatic Approach
In today’s episode, I want to share three simple yet powerful guiding steps that I return to again and again - both in my personal journey and in my work with women practitioners.
These are the practices that help us reconnect with what truly matters when we feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain on our path. So often when we’re in the process of growth or healing we question everything - our direction, our abilities, even our sanity. But what I’ve learned again and again is that this questioning is not a sign of failure - it’s a natural part of transformation.
E113: Somatic Guide to Inner Resistance and Whole Person Alignment
In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I want to offer you a somatic guide to working with inner resistance and self-sabotage - seeing them not as failures, but as protective responses from your body, psyche, and soul. When you experience resistance - that familiar inner no that stops you just as you’re about to take a step forward - it’s often your nervous system saying, “Slow down, something here doesn’t feel safe yet.”
E112: Embracing Conscious Living: Autumn Reflections on Growth, Celebrations and Milestones
Welcome to this very special episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul. As we step into Autumn - a season that for me holds deep personal meaning, celebration, and reflection - I share openly about life’s challenges, its beauty, and the conscious choices that have allowed me to create a life and business that feel aligned and fulfilling. From turning 52 this week, to marking five years of running my training organisation, and starting 6th cohort of Trauma-Informed Somatic Teacher & Coach for Women® Certification, this episode is both a personal reflection and an invitation for you to honor your own rhythm, set clear intentions, and reconnect with what matters most.
E111: Embodied Listening: A Radical Practice in Trauma-Informed Somatic Coaching
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m exploring one of the most radical and healing practices at the heart of somatic coaching – Embodied Listening. The practice of Embodied Listening isn’t about fixing, analysing, or interpreting. It’s about creating a safe enough space to tune into what is already present – the spoken and unspoken, the subtle bodily sense, and the wisdom of the nervous system.
E110: Spiritual Bypassing & Somatic Healing: A Trauma-Informed Guide for Women
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m exploring a theme that comes up again and again in our community and inside my 160-Hr Trauma-Informed Somatic Teacher & Coach for Women® certification: spiritual bypassing. This isn’t a criticism of spirituality - far from it. It’s a call to honour it on a deeper level. I share how bypassing can show up as “love and light,” premature forgiveness, or jumping straight to mindset and meditation while skipping the real needs of the body, emotions, and boundaries.
E109: Presence and Purpose: Core Embodiment Practices in Somatic Coaching for Women
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I share a story from almost 30 years ago during my NLP Master Practitioner training. It was such a simple exercise - walking alongside someone and mirroring their pace and rhythm - but it taught me something profound about embodiment that I still carry with me today. I experienced two very different ways of moving through the world: one soft, wandering, and present, and the other purposeful, focused, and determined. Both felt good, both felt necessary. And that experience has shaped how I approach life, business, and the way I mentor and train others in my programmes.
E108: Build a Sustainable and Profitable Business Without Hustle or Burnout - Nervous-system Friendly Approach for Women Practitioners
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I explore what it really means to grow a thriving business without falling into hustle, striving, or burnout. So many of the women I mentor and train are deeply caring, skilled, and passionate about their work - yet they often struggle with visibility, marketing, and promotion. Words like these can feel alien or even threatening to the nervous system. But building a sustainable business is possible - without sacrificing your health, values or joy.
E107: Trust Yourself & Trust Life: A Trauma‑Informed Somatic Coaching Guide
In this episode of my show: Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m exploring two powerful layers of trust - self-trust and trust in Life itself. For me self-trust is grounded in honouring our word to ourselves and others, drawing on our skills and gifts, following our own path, celebrating our wins and supporting ourselves in challenging moments. Trusting Life means softening into its rhythm and timing, following the “energetic breadcrumbs,” and knowing we are supported gently every step of the way.
E106: They Come for the Qualification… But Stay for the Healing, Growth & Sisterhood
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I reflect on a beautiful truth I witness in every cohort of my 160-hour Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women© training certification: women sign up to get the professional and recognised Somatic Coaching accreditation and learn about the nervous system and trauma-informed approach, feminine embodiment and leadership, and various frameworks, techniques and tools - but stay because of how deeply they heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Because this training is more than a qualification. It becomes a way to come home to self.
E105: Conversation with Sophie Lee: Communication, Power and Women's Voices
In today's episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I am talking with Sophie Lee, whose work sits at the intersection of trauma-informed somatics and transformative storytelling. We talk about how Sophie weaves together her background in journalism, global communications, and her own lived experiences into a practice that helps individuals and organisations express truth in a way that is rooted, resonant, and deeply healing.
E104: How Your Nervous System is Blocking Your Income (and What to Do About It)
In today's show episode of Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I am talking about something I see (and lived through myself) again and again: the connection between our nervous system and our capacity to receive - money, clients, visibility and success. This isn’t about “thinking more positively” or “hustling harder.” It’s about the lived, inner somatic experience of safety, survival responses, and how they shape every step of the way what you allow yourself to receive.
I’m not focusing on theories here but instead I share lived wisdom from over two decades of trauma-informed somatic work, and what I teach inside my 160-hour training certification, my business mentorship programs, and my own embodied journey of running a soulful, sustainable business.
E103: Mid‑Year Somatic Business Check‑In: Align Your Business, Body and Nervous System
In today's episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I want to offer you something spacious and grounding - an invitation to pause, reflect, and check in with your body, your business, and your soul. We’re halfway through the year, and this is an important time to review how things are really going - beyond just the numbers. In this episode, I share some personal reflections from my recent challenges and why I’m so grateful to have a business that supports the ebb and flow of life. I also walk you through how I do my own mid-year business review - not just through metrics and data, but through somatic wisdom, nervous system awareness, and soul-aligned planning.
E102: Conversation with Emma Bacon: Healing from PTSD, Finding balance and Living with Purpose
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I have a pleasure to have a heartfelt conversation with Emma Bacon, and learn about her powerful journey from living with complex PTSD and burnout to creating a soul-led, trauma-informed life rooted in somatics, seasonal living and community. Emma shares how she transitioned from intense, masculine practices to softer, more somatic and nourishing approach - and how yoga philosophy, somatic coaching, and deep listening to her body transformed not only her well-being but also her business, Learn, Live, Give. We talk about retreat facilitation, the impact of embodied learning, and what it really means to build a life and business aligned with your values, energy, and life season. This is an inspiring conversation about healing, courage, and creating spaciousness for what truly matters.
E101: Trauma-Informed Somatic Coaching: 10 Gentle Invitations for Feminine Embodiment
In today’s episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m offering something a little different - not a strategy, not a training - but a softly held space for exploration, reflection, and gentle possibility. This is an invitation to pause, land in your body, and join me in imagining what could become possible for you in your life, your nervous system, your feminine embodiment, your work, and your leadership - if you allowed yourself to shift out of survival and into truth, safety, and soulful connection.
E100: Celebrating 100 Episodes: Growth Mindset, Somatics & Trauma‑Informed Podcast Journey
In this very special episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I’m celebrating a big milestone with you - our 100th episode. I’m honestly still taking it in! When I began this podcast back in September 2023, I didn’t know if I would make it past 20 episodes. There were no guarantees - just a quiet commitment and a desire to share what felt real, valuable, and deeply embodied.
Over the past (almost) two years, I’ve had the joy of recording solo reflections and beautiful conversations with guests, as well as interviews with many graduates from our programs. I’ve also hosted two virtual summits and collaborated with some incredible practitioners whose work I truly love and admire.
In this episode, I share the behind-the-scenes of the podcast journey - what helped me keep going, what I’ve learned, and how this experience has deepened my connection to my own voice and community.
E99: How Your Nervous System Shapes Visibility, Selling, and Sustainable Growth
In today's episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I want to start a conversation we don’t hear often enough in the world of business and entrepreneurship - especially if you’re a coach, therapist, healer, or practitioner who leads with heart and depth. I want us to explore the real, embodied truth behind business sustainability and soulful growth: how your connection to your body and nervous system deeply impacts your ability to show up, be visible, sell with soul, and grow in a way that feels nourishing rather than exhausting. I'm not talking about strategy but about an invitation to come home to yourself and bring all of you into your business.
