E89: Conversation with Anja Torikka: Connection, Nature and Embracing Your Authentic Self

In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Anja Torikka, who is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals with a background in many different modalities including Trauma Informed Yoga. She is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and her offering is based on nature connection through the seasonal 5 element theory, yin yoga, acupressure, feng shui and qigong. At the heart of what Anja does is connection - connection to self, to nature and each other. She is currently on a path of becoming a Womens Somatic Coach and her passion project is her own course, Confidently You: Embracing Your Authentic Self, in which she invites women on a journey of self discovery.

We discuss Anja's transformative experience in the Trauma-Informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women© Training Certification, where she deepened her understanding of nervous system regulation, boundaries, and somatic coaching. Anja reflects on how this training has reshaped her work, allowing her to serve her students more effectively while maintaining balance in her own life.
