MEET THE HOST
WELCOME, I’m Aneta,
I’m your host and the Founder of The Golden Mandala Somatic Coach Academy©, a Trauma-informed Somatic Coach, Trainer and Educator, Senior Yoga and Somatics Trainer, and Embodied Business Mandala™ Mentor and Coach.
I created this podcast for heart-centred practitioners who work or want to work with clients in a more trauma-informed and somatic way.
In this podcast we explore how we can connect with and support others from a more compassionate and embodied space, with focus on the wholeness of our and our client’s felt experience and including our soma, psyche and soul.
We will share somatic practices and tools. You will hear from me and other practitioners who are on a mission to create safer spaces and make a real positive impact within their communities and the world.

E108: Build a Sustainable and Profitable Business Without Hustle or Burnout - Nervous-system Friendly Approach for Women Practitioners
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I explore what it really means to grow a thriving business without falling into hustle, striving, or burnout. So many of the women I mentor and train are deeply caring, skilled, and passionate about their work - yet they often struggle with visibility, marketing, and promotion. Words like these can feel alien or even threatening to the nervous system. But building a sustainable business is possible - without sacrificing your health, values or joy.
E107: Trust Yourself & Trust Life: A Trauma‑Informed Somatic Coaching Guide
In this episode of my show: Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m exploring two powerful layers of trust - self-trust and trust in Life itself. For me self-trust is grounded in honouring our word to ourselves and others, drawing on our skills and gifts, following our own path, celebrating our wins and supporting ourselves in challenging moments. Trusting Life means softening into its rhythm and timing, following the “energetic breadcrumbs,” and knowing we are supported gently every step of the way.
E106: They Come for the Qualification… But Stay for the Healing, Growth & Sisterhood
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I reflect on a beautiful truth I witness in every cohort of my 160-hour Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women© training certification: women sign up to get the professional and recognised Somatic Coaching accreditation and learn about the nervous system and trauma-informed approach, feminine embodiment and leadership, and various frameworks, techniques and tools - but stay because of how deeply they heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Because this training is more than a qualification. It becomes a way to come home to self.
E105: Conversation with Sophie Lee: Communication, Power and Women's Voices
In today's episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I am talking with Sophie Lee, whose work sits at the intersection of trauma-informed somatics and transformative storytelling. We talk about how Sophie weaves together her background in journalism, global communications, and her own lived experiences into a practice that helps individuals and organisations express truth in a way that is rooted, resonant, and deeply healing.
E104: How Your Nervous System is Blocking Your Income (and What to Do About It)
In today's show episode of Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I am talking about something I see (and lived through myself) again and again: the connection between our nervous system and our capacity to receive - money, clients, visibility and success. This isn’t about “thinking more positively” or “hustling harder.” It’s about the lived, inner somatic experience of safety, survival responses, and how they shape every step of the way what you allow yourself to receive.
I’m not focusing on theories here but instead I share lived wisdom from over two decades of trauma-informed somatic work, and what I teach inside my 160-hour training certification, my business mentorship programs, and my own embodied journey of running a soulful, sustainable business.
E103: Mid‑Year Somatic Business Check‑In: Align Your Business, Body and Nervous System
In today's episode of my show Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I want to offer you something spacious and grounding - an invitation to pause, reflect, and check in with your body, your business, and your soul. We’re halfway through the year, and this is an important time to review how things are really going - beyond just the numbers. In this episode, I share some personal reflections from my recent challenges and why I’m so grateful to have a business that supports the ebb and flow of life. I also walk you through how I do my own mid-year business review - not just through metrics and data, but through somatic wisdom, nervous system awareness, and soul-aligned planning.
E102: Conversation with Emma Bacon: Healing from PTSD, Finding balance and Living with Purpose
In this episode of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I have a pleasure to have a heartfelt conversation with Emma Bacon, and learn about her powerful journey from living with complex PTSD and burnout to creating a soul-led, trauma-informed life rooted in somatics, seasonal living and community. Emma shares how she transitioned from intense, masculine practices to softer, more somatic and nourishing approach - and how yoga philosophy, somatic coaching, and deep listening to her body transformed not only her well-being but also her business, Learn, Live, Give. We talk about retreat facilitation, the impact of embodied learning, and what it really means to build a life and business aligned with your values, energy, and life season. This is an inspiring conversation about healing, courage, and creating spaciousness for what truly matters.
E101: Trauma-Informed Somatic Coaching: 10 Gentle Invitations for Feminine Embodiment
In today’s episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I’m offering something a little different - not a strategy, not a training - but a softly held space for exploration, reflection, and gentle possibility. This is an invitation to pause, land in your body, and join me in imagining what could become possible for you in your life, your nervous system, your feminine embodiment, your work, and your leadership - if you allowed yourself to shift out of survival and into truth, safety, and soulful connection.
E100: Celebrating 100 Episodes: Growth Mindset, Somatics & Trauma‑Informed Podcast Journey
In this very special episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I’m celebrating a big milestone with you - our 100th episode. I’m honestly still taking it in! When I began this podcast back in September 2023, I didn’t know if I would make it past 20 episodes. There were no guarantees - just a quiet commitment and a desire to share what felt real, valuable, and deeply embodied.
Over the past (almost) two years, I’ve had the joy of recording solo reflections and beautiful conversations with guests, as well as interviews with many graduates from our programs. I’ve also hosted two virtual summits and collaborated with some incredible practitioners whose work I truly love and admire.
In this episode, I share the behind-the-scenes of the podcast journey - what helped me keep going, what I’ve learned, and how this experience has deepened my connection to my own voice and community.
E99: How Your Nervous System Shapes Visibility, Selling, and Sustainable Growth
In today's episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I want to start a conversation we don’t hear often enough in the world of business and entrepreneurship - especially if you’re a coach, therapist, healer, or practitioner who leads with heart and depth. I want us to explore the real, embodied truth behind business sustainability and soulful growth: how your connection to your body and nervous system deeply impacts your ability to show up, be visible, sell with soul, and grow in a way that feels nourishing rather than exhausting. I'm not talking about strategy but about an invitation to come home to yourself and bring all of you into your business.
E98: How Embodied Gratitude Can Heal Disconnection
IIn this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I invite you to slow down and explore something many of us are quietly navigating - the pain of disconnection, especially in a world that values speed, polish, and performance over presence. I share my personal journey of stepping back from the noise of social media and the online world - and how, in that space of pause and embodied listening, I rediscovered something essential: the healing power of embodied gratitude as a doorway back to myself, my values, and how I share my work in the world.
E97: You Don’t Need to Be Fully Healed to Guide Others: A Trauma-Informed Reframe
In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I gently challenge one of the most harmful myths in the coaching and healing world - the idea that we need to be fully healed, clear, or perfect before we can guide others. If you've ever felt the weight of self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or the voice that says "I'm not ready yet", this episode is for you.
E96: Trusting Your Body: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Somatic Healing
In this episode 'Trusting Your Body: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Somatic Healing', I invite you to join me in exploring how we can rebuild trust with our body’s signals - especially after trauma, overwhelm, or years of disconnection. Your body has always been trying to communicate with you. Trusting your body is not about doing it perfectly - it’s about meeting yourself with kindness, presence, and compassion. The best thing is: you can learn it - one baby step at a time. In this episode I share with you my personal reflections, client stories, and gentle somatic practices to help you reconnect with the deep wisdom of your body.
E95: Conversation with Adele Wimsett: Hormones, ADHD & Perimenopause - Empowering Women with Science
In this eye-opening episode, I talk with Adele Wimsett to explore the often-overlooked realities of hormones, perimenopause, and ADHD in women. Adele shares her deeply personal journey from working in female offending to becoming a fierce advocate for women's health after discovering how poorly the current medical system serves us. We discuss the systemic gaps in research, the impact of chronic stress on hormonal balance, and the vital - and often misunderstood - role of Progesterone in women’s well-being.
E94: When Things Aren’t Working: A Somatic and Trauma-Informed Approach to Navigating Stuckness
In today's episode I’m speaking to a feeling so many of us - especially sensitive, heart-led women practitioners - know deeply: that sense of stuckness. When it seems like nothing is working, and we spiral into overwhelm, self-doubt, or shame, it’s easy to feel alone and hopeless. But I want you to know this: There is nothing wrong with you. You and your felt experience make perfect sense. This is my invitation for you to find your way back to your stable, grounded, present and thriving self.
E93: Conversation with Anna Pichowski: Honouring Grief through Healing and Leadership
In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Anna Pichowski - a trauma-informed yoga teacher and somatic movement Coach, and a graduate of our Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women certification. Anna shares her powerful journey of navigating baby loss and motherhood, and how these experiences led her to explore embodied, trauma-informed practices. Her path has evolved over the years - from feeling disconnected and overwhelmed to finding her own rhythm, building a practice that supports her nervous system, and creating offerings rooted in lived experience and deep care.
E92: From Recovery to Empowerment to Soul Alignment – Reclaiming Your Power Back
In this episode, I reflect on the journey many of us take - from healing and recovery, into embodied empowerment, and then into the beautiful unfolding of our soul potential. As we prepare to start the 5th cohort of our Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women Certification©, I share the incredible growth I’ve witnessed within our training spaces and the profound shifts that happen when women come together with intention, care, and embodied presence.
E91: Conversation with Kate Codrington: Peri-menopause as Second Spring - Messy, Magical and Deeply Transformative
In this episode, I have the pleasure of talking with Kate Codrington about the emotional and spiritual landscape of perimenopause and menopause. We explore how we can redefine what it means to be a woman in midlife and take our power back. We talk about how powerful it is to validate our emotions, how our sensitivity is purposeful, and how this phase invites us to reclaim rest, say 'no' more often, and slow down in radical ways.
E90: Conversation with Sarah King: Women's Circles, Moon Cycles and Honouring Nature's Rhythm
In this episode I have a pleasure of speaking with Sarah King who shares with us her journey from training as a massage therapist to somatic coach. We talk about the power of creating women’s spaces for connection, co-regulation and community, how Nature can help us reconnect with pleasure and Sarah’s passion for Ayurvedic cooking.
E89: Conversation with Anja Torikka: Connection, Nature and Embracing Your Authentic Self
In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Anja Torikka, who is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals with a background in many different modalities including Trauma Informed Yoga. She is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and her offering is based on nature connection through the seasonal 5 element theory, yin yoga, acupressure, feng shui and qigong.
