E32: Conversation with Jane Dancey: Yoga, Somatics and Feminine Embodiment

In this podcast episode I had the pleasure of talking with Jane Dancey. We chat about Jane's journey through becoming a yoga teacher, her own trauma and healing, the wisdom of being a 50 year old woman, a history of women's rights movements and circles, and how we can support women towards a more feminine embodiment.

Jane is a certified Embodiment Coach, Yoga Teacher /Teacher Trainer, Somatic Movement Facilitator and Functional Kinesiologist. She is a specialist in women’s health including menstruation, menopause and the female pelvis and has 20 year’s experience in supporting women’s health and wellbeing through transitions and change.

She was a presenter on The Embodiment Conference and is the founder of The Embodied Female Pelvis, an online course for women, cultivating pelvic health and connection.

She works with a bio/psycho/social/ soul lens and is passionate in helping her clients grow self-awareness, autonomy and body agency.

Jane originally studied fashion design at St Martins, going on to work in film and TV until experiencing a health crisis that resulted in swapping career and life in London for a much slower existence by the sea in Sussex. This change of scene allowed so much more time for yoga classes which led to her studies in this field.

She lives in the Sussex countryside with her husband, daughter, dog and cat.
