Why is it so hard to change?

Over the past 30 years I’ve done a lot of different training and certifications. I learned new knowledge from all of them but only a few of them felt deeply transformative.

What made those few training courses so transformative?

It was the mixture of knowledge, practice and time for integration with personal support from the trainer and the community.

Learning new knowledge is very important but it means nothing if you don’t know how to translate it into practical applications.

Knowledge and practice are not enough to fully embody it - you need time for integration alongside being supported - so you can ask questions, make mistakes and grow in a safe way.

This takes focus and time - and there is no shortcut for it. Sorry.

But the amazing thing is that this process guides you to grow at your own pace and fully embody your learning. It allows you to embody your wisdom - on your identity level.

This kind of growth is priceless.

In a world that is constantly busy and looking for quick fixes and shortcuts - this process of growth as a human being and a practitioner who ‘walks her talk’ - is a road less travelled.

I know this might not be a welcomed point of view - but from my own personal experience of growth, and from my experience of mentoring and training other practitioners for over 20 years - you can go fast and your growth will shallow and ultimately slow, or you can slow down to do more somatic and embodied work and go deep into your soma, psyche and soul for deep and real transformation.

The beauty here is - it’s up to you!

Time passes at its own pace anyway. Ask yourself: where will you be in one year?

Are you happy with how your life, work and business are right now? Would you be happy if they were the same in one year?

Or is there a deep longing within you for something more?

Are you ready to answer your inner call and go on your own heroine’s journey into healing, integration and growth?

This is why I feel so excited about the trauma-informed somatic approach that I will be teaching in our training certification 160-hr Trauma-informed Somatic Teacher and Coach for Women.

Because…

You can be trauma-informed but not use somatic practices and approach.

You can use somatic practices and approach - and yet not work in a trauma-informed way.

And when you add somatic movement and fascial work, and a deep somatic work like Embodied Listening (Focusing) - you take your somatic practices and embodiment to a whole new level.

Because even using a somatic approach can mean so many different things. Somatic movement and mediation is different from Embodied Listening (Focusing) - which is working with felt-senses and parts for deep inner integration.

But when you bring together all of these approaches and practices, along with time for integration with support - something magical happens. And that is a whole person integration within all systems you live in.

And this growth then spills into all areas of your life and your work.

And how would it feel to experience this kind of inner and outer change? What would you create from that space?
