A Journey of Returning to Embodied Feminine Wholeness
Hello, my friends. As a trainer and the host of a podcast Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, that dives deep into the vast aspects of human experience, I've recently had the joy of delving into a topic that strikes a chord with many women I work with: the return to Embodied Feminine Wholeness. In celebration of International Women's Day, I paused to contemplate not only the accomplishments and obstacles women face worldwide but also the personal and societal significance of embracing our feminine traits. In this blog post, I want to share with you the insights and personal stories that shone through this episode, and I invite you to embark with me on a journey of inner reflection and balance.

The Essence of Embodied Feminine Wholeness
Embodied Feminine Wholeness goes beyond the physical aspect of our experience for me. It's about acknowledging and fostering the qualities traditionally linked to the feminine – empathy, intuition, nurturing, and collaboration – within myself and in how I interact with the world. As I discussed on the podcast, these traits aren't exclusive to women; they're human attributes we all have in different measures. Yet, in our western societies built on Cartesian Thinking that prioritises the masculine energies of competition, aggression, and dominance, these gentler feminine qualities can be overlooked and even repressed.
Balancing Masculine and Feminine Energies
The interplay between masculine and feminine energies is intricate. In the episode, I stressed the significance of balance. It's not about lessening one to enhance the other; it's about realizing the power that comes from their synergy and harmony. I've shared how, in my life, I've endeavoured to find this equilibrium, frequently questioning the norms imposed on me by society and even by myself. It's a path that demands ongoing self-awareness and the courage to accept all aspects of who I am. When I work with other women in my private programmes and training certifications it is clear that our social conditioning runs very deep within all of us and we have to go through a process of unlearning and re-learning to find this balance.
Inner Reflection and Societal Change
A central takeaway from the podcast is the role of inner reflection in sparking societal transformation. As I become more in tune with my masculine and feminine energies, I start to notice the imbalances in the world around me. I've discussed how this realization is the initial step toward shaping a society that equally honours and celebrates both sets of qualities. It's about forging environments where empathy and strength aren't seen as opposing forces but as complementary ones.
Personal Experiences and Insights
During the episode, I talked up about anecdotes and revelations from my life that have informed my perception of feminine wholeness. I recounted times when I felt compelled to fit into a specific type of femininity and how breaking away from those confines has been both freeing and daunting. These personal narratives served as a reminder that the path to self-acceptance and balance is deeply individual, yet also widely relatable.
Final Reflections
As we progress beyond International Women's Day, I want to maintain the ethos of celebration and introspection. Embracing my feminine attributes and aiming for balance isn't just for a single day; it's an ongoing endeavour that enhances my life and has the power to change the fabric of our societal. By sharing my thoughts and experiences, I hope I've encouraged you to examine your own interplay of masculine and feminine energies.
